bayanDSL Christmas Gift?!

A few days ago, I found something astounding with our bayanDSL connection. While downloading some stuff on Bittorent, I saw my download speed was around 70-80+ kbps! For all I know, your subscription just up to 384 Kbps (roughly about up to 48 kbps download speed). I did some answers from the Web. According to pinoydsl.net and tipidpc.com, bayanDSL will have speed updates for their DSL subscriptions, starting November 1. For us 384 Kpbs users, there will be an upgrade up to 768 kbps and SOD (Speed on Demand) will be 1 Mbps. Technically, it’s still not November 1, but our household already enjoying this early Christmas gift from bayanDSL. That means more Linux ISO downloads for me, he he he… :D

The Proofs:

Speedtest.net Result

Speakeasy.net Result:

UPDATE 1: It seems to be just a test. As of today (Nov. 1), it returned to 384 kbps speeds :( I think we need to call up bayanDSL on the second week of November to avail of the speed upgrade… >:(

UPDATE 2: We already requested for the Speed Upgrade, as of today (Nov. 9), we now experiencing 768 kbps speeds :D

When did you start having broadband? The last time we talked, you were only on dial up.

I’m waiting for new year. We’ll be eligible for a free bandwidth upgrade then. We’ll be at least having 1 Mbps then. :)

We had bayanDSL since July :D We subscribed to plan 1199 (300 for the phone + 899 for the 384 kbps DSL). But the Speed Upgrade just recently started, and the transition was fast, within 18-24 hours from request :)

I am currently using PLDT Plan 990 (phone and 384kps DSL). I wanted a bayantel service but there is no offering here in Pasay. They say after service of bayantel is better.

They suck now!!! >:(

Project 4 area kami. >:(
